With just over ten days until Australia Day and Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2015 countdown, there could (maybe) be a new frontrunner with this clever cover of Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’.

Coach Bombay Music released a video on his YouTube channel featuring iconic scenes of Australia’s landscape as well as excerpts from Qantas’ famous ‘I still call Australia home’ ads, Kylie Minogue, the footy and former prime minister Bob Hawke scolling a beer at the cricket – complete with distinctive Aussie lyrics.

Entitled “National Anthem of STRAYA (to the tune of Hey Ya)”, the YouTube clip had nearly 200,000 views in the 24 hours after the video went viral around our Great Southern Land.
Even if it doesn’t blitz the countdown, the catchy tune is sure to be stuck in heads for the next few weeks.
