Tom, a contestant on the popular US game show, came out with one of the creepiest responses ever after host Alex Trebek asked: ‘In common law, the age of this, signalling adulthood, is presumed to be 14 in boys and 12 in girls.’

Tom’s awkward response ‘what is the age of consent’ earned a very quick ‘no’ from the host and a little bit of uncomfortable laughter from the crowd.

In case you were wondering the correct answer was ‘puberty’.
