Essendon coach James Hird is set for another bout in court.
Fairfax is reporting Hird has launched action against his insurance company for not paying his legal bill – totalling more than $640,000 – from the supplements saga.

The 42-year-old was ordered to pay costs when his appeal against the Federal Court ruling that the ASADA and AFL investigation into Essendon was legal failed.
Hird’s legal team filed a writ in the Supreme Court on Friday, claiming Chubb Insurance had not paid Hird’s trial costs of $573,588.67 and his appeal costs of $68,552.73.
Chubb denied they were liable for the costs and a directions hearing will be held on August 21.
Chubb offers a range of business, personal and specialty insurance policies.
