Horizontal Waterfalls, Broome. Moving north to Broome, these horizontal waterfalls are truly a sight to behold, and should be explored by speedboat or seaplane. While the rush of zipping through the falls up close is hard to beat, so is the spectacular and unique aerial view.
Cape Leveque, Broome. Drying off and heading north again you'll find Cape Leveque – a beautiful stretch of land at the tip of the Dampier Peninsula. Cape Leveque's beautiful beaches, all crystal clear water and unblemished sand, are a must.
Pentecost River Crossing, Gibb River Road. Further inland, the Gibb River Road runs from Derby to Wyndham, and crosses the Kimberley Central Plateau. Jump in a four wheel drive and look out for brolgas, jabirus, brown falcons, black breasted buzzards and the majestic wedge-tailed eagle.
King George Falls, Kimberley. Follow the coast north to the beautiful King George River, taking in the stunning sights, before arriving at the breathtaking King George Falls (as seen in Baz Luhrmann's film Australia). Prepare to be awe-struck.
Home Valley Station, Kununurra. Moving further inland to Kununurra, Home Valley Station provides plenty of opportunities for both relaxation and adventure. With gorges, waterfalls, billabongs, ancient land forms and ranges to explore, there's no shortage of natural wonder.
Kimberley Coastal Camp. Another Kununurra accommodation option is the Kimberley Coastal Camp. Fabulous scenery, gourmet food, spectacular fishing and ancient rock art, all in the same beachfront accommodation. As far as wilderness retreats go, this one is hard to beat, with just 12 guests staying at a time.
