The Australian sailing team has captured back-to-back silver medals, with the men’s 470 and 49er duos earning podium finishes at the Rio Olympics.
Mathew Belcher and Will Ryan were to first to claim silver after placing 10th in the 470 medal race on Friday morning (AEST).
They had started the day in the bronze medal position but moved ahead of Greece, while Croatia won the gold.
Greece won the bronze medal.

Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen, gold medallists in London four years ago, then took the second silver of the afternoon for Australia when they finished runner-up to New Zealand.
Kiwi flag–bearers Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, four times world champions, had won the gold with a race to spare – but still finished first in the medal race.
