Alice Zaslavsky

Alice Zaslavsky
Alice “in Frames” Zaslavsky will always be a teacher; as a fourth-generation educator, it’s in her DNA. But these days, her classroom goes far beyond four walls and a white-board. With her bubbly personality, gregarious outlook and boundless enthusiasm, she has taken her passion for learning, for food and above all, for living life with gusto, to kids and grown-ups alike. Alice is on a mission to use food to engage and excite the next generation of eaters, turning them into curious cooks and even curiouser individuals. As host of popular children’s game-show Kitchen Whiz on Channel Go!, traversing the country as MC-extraordinaire for internationally renowned top chefs, "Adventurer-in-Residence" at Melbourne's foodie paradise Prahran Market, and with the recent release of her first children’s book Alice's Food A-Z to rave reviews, you could say that she’s already making this Mission Quite Possible. Now, Alice has launched a new venture with FOOD-ED.com – her initiative to encourage more interdisciplinary food education opportunities throughout the existing curriculum. That is, the integration of food within every subject in every school, across the entire country, through a crowd-resourced teaching hub. It is Alice’s belief that this will help to foster healthy relationships for kids with food, as well as utilising the power of “delicious” to build positive engagement with learning in general. Catch Alice on Kitchen Whiz 7:30AM weekday mornings on Channel 9’s GO! Her book Alice’s Food A-Z can be found at all places good books are sold. Alice’s recipes, adventures and general musings on life can be found at www.aliceinframes.com.
