American actor John Hamm – aka Mad Men‘s Don Draper – has reportedly just finished a 30 day stint in rehab for alcohol addiction.

In a case of a life imitating art – Hamm’s famous character, the troubled yet smooth ad man Don Draper, also battles with alcohol problems – the actor checked himself into a facility about a month ago.

According to TMZ, Hamm recently completed a month-long stint at Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut, a high end rehab facility.

A representative for Hamm said in a statement that “With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction.”

“They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward.”

The final season of Mad Men has just finished filming and is set to premiere on April 5.
