Named as the new host of the 2017 Golden Globes, US comedian Jimmy Fallon has given an early hint of what to expect from the ceremony.
Soon after being chosen, Fallon took to Twitter to say how he excited he was to be hosting the event which is one of the biggest gigs in Hollywood’s long awards season.
He also took a big swipe at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
And I'm really looking forward to spending time with the Hollywood Foreign Press before Donald Trump has them all deported.

Fallon, 41, follows British comedian Ricky Gervais who hosted the Globes between 2001 and 2012 and again this year, while comediennes Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took the reins from 2013-2015.
The 2017 ceremony takes place on January 8 in Beverly Hills.
