A two-year-old boy has drowned in a backyard swimming pool in Sydney’s north-west.
Neighbours frantically tried to resuscitate the toddler who was pulled from the water at a home in Stanhope Gardens around 10:00am (AEST).
CareFlight’s rapid response trauma team was flown to the home to help paramedics try and revive the child.
The boy was pronounced dead soon after arriving at Westmead Children’s hospital.
Police are investigating.
