Police are investigating after a woman in her 60s and two adult sons were found unresponsive at home in the Blue Mountains.
The horrific scene was discovered about 7.30am on Sunday, in a brown brick house in the town of Leura.
Two men, believed to be in their 40s, had multiple stab wounds and were rushed to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The woman had no stab wounds, according to reports, but was unconscious and was taken to Blue Mountains District Hospital in a critical condition.
She was reportedly fighting for her life.

The home on Myall Avenue was taped off as a crime scene as police investigated the circumstances of the mysterious incident.
Media reports said the woman was believed to be the mother of the two adults sons, who had intellectual disabilities.
The Seven Network reports that one line of investigation was whether the woman’s condition was self-inflicted.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
