Ebola tests on two children at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital have come back negative for the virus.
The children, under the age of 10, were admitted into hospital on Thursday morning, and were tested for a range of infectious diseases, with precautionary Ebola treatment measures in place.

Ambulance Victoria state health commander Paul Holman told the Herald Sun paramedics were called to Melbourne Airport at 2am on Thursday after the children recorded elevated temperatures.

Earlier, the Royal Children’s Hospital said no further information about the patients or their condition would be provided, until the test results were known.
“Specialist medical staff are caring for the patients, using the procedures and equipment in which they have been trained,” the statement said.
“The safety of staff and the community is paramount.”
