Victoria Police have found the car that hit a police officer on Melbourne’s EastLink Freeway earlier this week.
An officer was injured when the car, sporting stolen number plates, ignored his order to pull over and instead drove into him at about 1:20pm on Wednesday.
The senior constable bounced up onto the bonnet and into the windscreen before falling onto the road.

He was released from hospital on Wednesday and is “very sore” after the incident.
Police said the Ford XR6 Falcon sedan was located at a residential property in Preston last night.
It had earlier been caught on CCTV at a service station on the Mountain Highway in Bayswater at 11:30am on Wednesday.
The male driver then sped off without paying for petrol.
Police said no arrests have been made in connection to the incident, despite reports otherwise.
“The person believed to be involved in the incident is yet to be apprehended by police and the investigation is ongoing,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to search for the driver of the vehicle and are keen to speak to anyone with information.”
