One dead after WA shooting

Two men are in custody after a woman was fatally shot in Perth overnight.

Police were called to the scene at a block of units on Mayfair Street in the city’s west just after 2am.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with gunshot wounds. She was in a critical condition but later died.

Heavily armed members of the Tactical Response Group were also at the scene for at least two hours before packing up and leaving, according to ABC reports.
