Princess dresses, the colour red, jumpsuits and women wearing traditionally male formal suits were the most talked about trends on the 2016 Brownlow Medal red carpet, while the dress of a former winner’s partner divided opinion.
The night was dominated by people fawning over the outfit choices of Nadia Bartel, Alex Pendlebury, Jesinta Campbell and Jordan Ablett.
Ablett’s dress in particular caused a large amount of conjecture, along with her futuristic-looking boots.
But it soon emerged that Brit Davis, partner of Geelong skipper Joel Selwood, had won over most of the public and fashionista approval on the night.
And just because serial red carpet show-stopper Bec Judd sat the night out (she is heavily pregnant), doesn’t mean it wasn’t an evening to remember.
